VISION AND MISSION

OUR VISION

Establish a multiplying community of disciples to reach Northwest Arkansas and the nations!

ESTABLISH

In order for a vision to come to fruition a foundation has to be established first. The work of establishing a church reaches far beyond organizational development. The Oaks Church has a vision to become an integral part of the community by establishing meaningful and transforming relationships with Jesus Christ at the center of it all.

A MULTIPLYING COMMUNITY

When Jesus commissioned His first group of disciples out into the world He sent them with the purpose to reproduce the relationship and ministry they had received from Him and subsequently train others to do likewise. The call to make disciples is a cyclical command for every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

OF DISCIPLES

God's people are those who remain present in the world while living lives distinct from the world. We do this by devoting our lives to the call of Christ to follow Him. Our lives are not only redeemed by Christ for a time in the future but also for the here and now.

TO REACH NORTHWEST ARKANSAS

For every person in every place and every time who is called and redeemed by Christ we are sovereignly placed in a specific location. This is where the Lord has primarily called us to live out His mission.

AND THE NATIONS

While our primary focus can only ever be where we are in the world, we can and should never forget that God has called us to a global mission. The church is purposed with raising up and sending out people to reach people in different contexts that don't yet know Christ.

OUR MISSION

Developing fully devoted followers of Christ one home at a time

DEVELOPING

Discipleship is a marathon not a sprint. When we are redeemed by Christ we are reborn into Christ. The journey is one of constant transformation. We are always being directed toward the same trajectory while uniquely encountering and engaging everyday life.

FULLY DEVOTED

When Christ called His first disciples He called them to step off of one path and begin walking down another. The call of Christ isn't to simply incorporate or add Jesus into our current lives. Rather, the work of redemption by Christ is a reorienting of our lives in Christ. He hasn't just saved us from a future condemnation, He's also gifted us eternal life in Him right now.

FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST

When Christ reorients our lives in Him we experience an internal revolution as our hearts are transformed to understand and reflect the character of Christ in and through our own lives. We are being recreated in His likeness as we follow in His footsteps.

ONE HOME AT A TIME

There are many spheres of life where you can and should invest in the work of making disciples but none more important than your own home. God has always intended for the home to be the primary place where people learn about and grow in Him.
